A fear of bodily fluids and saliva is a fear that is experienced by people who have obsessive-compulsive disorder. These people always keep thinking about different ways they could get contaminated by saliva – not just their own, but also from other people and their pets. They even worry about things that could potentially be contaminated like pencils or pens, cutlery and chewing gum. They also spend an inordinate amount of time trying to avoid diseases and trying to stay germ free. This issue cannot be controlled without medicines and counseling sessions with a psychologist or psychiatrist.
