  • Squeezing those areas are definitely be avoided.
  • Appling any high-quality, topical benzoyl peroxide.
  • Use of any good quality drying lotion or clay mask can also help to drag out impurities and cure the blemish.

Cure:

  • The area should be cleaned gently and administration of acne cream is essential.
  • Homeopathic acne creams are very effective in these cases.

Whitehead

Cure:

  • These are called "closed comedones" in scientific language.
  • These should be removed by a professional dermatologist or beautician.
  • The patient should never try to remove these by themselves because that may result in a worse condition even developing extensive scars.
  • But as a substitute applying a cream or gel having salicylic acid can also be effective and supportive to unplug the pores.
Blackhead

Cure:

  • Scientifically these are known as "open comedones".
  • Strips manufactured by companies like Ponds etc. can be used to remove them.
  • But before that warm water is used to compress and soften the pores.
  • The pores are then to be squeezed gently with a tissue paper manually with two fingers.
  • If no oil plug gets released, squeezing should be stopped.
  • During squeezing it is to be remembered that the force should be gentle and not that much that leaves behind an imprint.

Cure:

  • These are mainly caused by Cystic acne that leaves behind deep scars.

  • For the cases of open pimples, any acne drying lotion or gel can be used and the course should be completed.
  • If the case has frequent outbreaks it is advised to consult a dermatologist for exact treatment.

Cure:

  • Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen or Aceclofenac can help decrease the swelling.
  • But for this any advice of any General Physician is preferred.
  • Applying ice to the infected areas in place of touching it bare handed sometimes helps. But for best result those area should not be touched.
