- Spots in the skin occur due a wide variety of reasons.
- These develop in individual irrespective of his age, sex or topology of the area.
- But some people are definitely more prone to these.
Types of Spots occurring in Skin
The major types of Spots that occur in the skin are:

Red/inflamed blemish
Cure:
- Squeezing those areas are definitely be avoided.
- Appling any high-quality, topical benzoyl peroxide.
- Use of any good quality drying lotion or clay mask can also help to drag out impurities and cure the blemish.
Small spot
Cure:
- The area should be cleaned gently and administration of acne cream is essential.
- Homeopathic acne creams are very effective in these cases.
Whitehead
Cure:
- These are called "closed comedones" in scientific language.
- These should be removed by a professional dermatologist or beautician.
- The patient should never try to remove these by themselves because that may result in a worse condition even developing extensive scars.
- But as a substitute applying a cream or gel having salicylic acid can also be effective and supportive to unplug the pores.
Blackhead
Cure:
- Scientifically these are known as "open comedones".
- Strips manufactured by companies like Ponds etc. can be used to remove them.
- But before that warm water is used to compress and soften the pores.
- The pores are then to be squeezed gently with a tissue paper manually with two fingers.
- If no oil plug gets released, squeezing should be stopped.
- During squeezing it is to be remembered that the force should be gentle and not that much that leaves behind an imprint.
Erupting spot
Cure:
- These are mainly caused by Cystic acne that leaves behind deep scars.
- These should never be pressed.
- For the cases of open pimples, any acne drying lotion or gel can be used and the course should be completed.
- If the case has frequent outbreaks it is advised to consult a dermatologist for exact treatment.
Feel-it-coming blemish
Cure:
- Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen or Aceclofenac can help decrease the swelling.
- But for this any advice of any General Physician is preferred.
- Applying ice to the infected areas in place of touching it bare handed sometimes helps. But for best result those area should not be touched.
