Important Information about Spiriva

  • Spiriva generic name is tiotropium inhalation
  • It is an anticholinergic agent which is used to prevent from bronchospasm in the people having bronchitis, emphysema, or COPD
  • It must be stored at room temperature and keep away from moisture and heat
  • These capsules are not supposed to take by mouth
  • It is used in use only in the HandiHaler device
  • Inform your doctor in advance if you have narrow-angle glaucoma, bladder obstruction

Spiriva Side Effects:

  • Tongue swelling or redness
  • Sores or white patches of your mouth, lips, or tongue
  • Urinating less than usual or not at all

Less serious Spiriva side effects may include:

  • Dry mouth, cough, and hoarseness
  • Blurred vision
  • Trouble swallowing
  • Nausea, constipation, upset stomach
  • Stuffy nose, nosebleed
  • Fast heart rate
  • Drowsiness
  • White patches in your mouth or throat
