Important Information about Keppra


  • Keppra generic name is levetiracetam
  • Keppra is an anti-epileptic drug which is used in the treatment of tonic-clonic seizures in adults and children
  • It must be stored at room temperature and keep away from moisture and heat
  • Better do not stop taking this drug until your doctor gave an advice to stop it
  • Inform to your doctor if you have any mood or behavior changes, depression, anxiety

Side Effects of Keppra are:

  • Hallucinations
  • Fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms
  • Weakness, lack of coordination
  • Increasing or worsening seizures
  • Nausea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, itching, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundices (yellowing of the skin or eyes)

Less serious Keppra side effects may include:

  • Dizziness, spinning sensation
  • Drowsiness
  • Feeling irritable
  • headache;
  • Runny nose, sore throat
  • Neck pain
