Important Information about Geodon


  • Geodon generic name is ziprasidone
  • Geodon is an antipsychotic drug which is used in the treatment of bipolar disorders
  • It must be stored at room temperature and keep away from moisture and heat
  • Do not use this drug if you have dementia
  • Inform your doctor in advance if you have arsenic trioxide, dolasetron, droperidol, mefloquine, levomethadyl acetate, tacrolimus and use of antibiotics

Side Effects:

  • Dizziness, feeling light-headed, fainting, fast or pounding heartbeat
  • Fever, stiff muscles, confusion, sweating, fast or uneven heartbeats
  • Tremor, restless muscle movements in your eyes, tongue, jaw, or neck
  • Agitation, hostility, confusion
  • Increased thirst or urination, weakness, extreme hunger
  • Penis erection that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer

Less serious Geodon side effects may include:

  • Mild skin rash
  • Anxiety, headache, depressed mood
  • Dizziness, drowsiness
  • Muscle pain or twitching
  • Vomiting, vomiting, loss of appetite
  • Runny or stuffy nose, cough, sore throat
  • Weight gain
