Important Information about Combivent

  • Combivent generic name is albuterol and ipratropium
  • Albuterol and ipratropium are bronchodilators which relax the muscles and increase the air flow to the lungs
  • Combivent is used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • It must be stored at room temperature and keep away from moisture and heat
  • Inform your doctor in advance if you have any overactive thyroid, heart disease, blood pressure, congestive heart failure

Side Effects of Combivent:

  • Bronchospasm
  • Chest pain and fast, pounding, or uneven heart beats
  • Swelling of your ankles or feet
  • Pain or burning with urination
  • Increased blood pressure

Less serious side effects may include:

  • Headache, dizziness, nervousness
  • Drowsiness or sleep problems
  • Cough, hoarseness, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose
  • Dry mouth, unusual taste in your mouth
  • Tremors, numbness or tingly feeling
  • Nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, diarrhea and constipation
  • Blurred vision
