Miss International is an international beauty pageant held every year for young woman since November 1960. The most coveted beauty pageant is ranked among the four top beauty events in the world. The ultimate goal of the premiere Miss International beauty pageant is to promote world peace, kindness, and understanding. The focus of international pageant system is to promote the accomplishments of today's young women. The prestigious final winner will receive a crown, prize money and has to spend a year of commitment for a charitable cause. Besides, each contestant can select a platform of her choice that she desires to spend the year promoting.

Place of the Miss International 2013

The 53rd edition of Miss International 2013 will be held on July 26th and 27th, at the Northshore Center for the Performing Arts in Chicago, Illinois.

From July 22nd, contestants participate in many other exciting events and activities leading up to the pageant in Chicago and they are expected to serve as "Ambassadors of Peace and Beauty".

Miss International Related Topics

Ikumi Yoshimatsu, Miss International 2012 of Japan will crown her successor at the end of the beauty pageant. Miss International competition of 2013 will witness around 70-80 contestants from different parts of the world. As of now 30 participants have been confirmed to participate in the pageant.

Competition Scoring

Each contestant competes in personal interview which is valued at 40% of their overall score. Every contestant in the personal interview will talk to the 5 judges each for 5 minutes based on which she will be entered into the next round. Contestant must have already decided on the platform for which she will speak on during her reign. The contestant has to compete in the overall Fitness valued for 20% of individual, Fun Fashion Wear 20% and Evening Gown valued for 20% wherein each contestant will be judged on grace, poise and elegance. After all these rounds, the final round of judging results in crowning the ultimate winner.
