About the pageant

Contestants from 50 states of America participate in the Miss America beauty contest. The title winner is awarded with the title of "Miss America" for one year. The titleholder will devote a large amount of their prize money to professional school, or to clear the student loans for courses already taken. The Miss America Scholarship program is considered as one of the nation's leading achievement programs and the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women.
