How to use icloud on ipod touch 4th generation?
IPod Touch 4th Generation Questions!?
Description : I am getting the 4th generation 8GB iPod Touch and have questions! Don't have to answer all, but it would be helpful. Thanks so much in advance! 1. In YOUR opinion, do you like the black or white iPod Touch better? Why? 2. If you were to put a case on the iPod when you FIRST unbox it, will it most likely not get any scratches on the back if you never take the case off? 3. How much do cases cost? Where is the cheapest store-place (not online) to buy them? 4. Do both the black & white iPod have iCloud? ... Or is it just the white? 5. Can you gave 2 iPods (1 Nano, 1 iPod Touch) on one iTunes account? 6. If you use the same iTunes account, will it be able to transfer all the songs you've downloaded on that account? Can you leave some of the songs off of the iPod touch without deleting them? (like on my iTunes account, I have some songs I don't really like anymore but I don't want to delete them... Is there any way to NOT download a few specific songs when syncing them to the iPod? Maybe like uncheck those songs...?) 7. Which cases are better for 'preventing' scratches on the back... The rubbery kind, of the harder kind that feel like their made of plastic? (I'm getting screen protectors too) 8. What is iOS 5? Should you download it? Where do you download it? Thanks for answering... I might add on more questions later.

How do I jailbreak by ipod touch 4th Generation, iOS5.0?
Description : I just got it a week ago. It is a 32 GB White ipod touch. iOS 5.0/9A334. I haven't synced it with an iTunes program yet, I will do that once I get home. I signed up for all the iCloud stuff and AppleID bs, but I did NOT register it with Apple and I did NOT upgrade to 5.01 because I didn't know if it would cause problems with the jailbreak process. I googled how to do it, but the information is confusing because there is a lot of talk about tethered, semi-tethered, and untethered and I have not idea what that means. Also some sites tell me I need to be a developer or something to receive the beta iOS. But I'm not on a beta iOS version, so I got a little bit confused. If someone could explain to me the step by step process, the terminology, the risks, and how to use the jailbroken ipod, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! I tried what you said Christopher but unfortunately it doesn't support my device as the iOS is too advanced. even the alternate link can't do it. Thanks though :)
Answer : tethered means when you reboot your phone you have to connect it to your computer to boot it...this is only annoying when you're initially setting up your favorite cydia tweaks that require a reboot...don't forget simply "locking" your device is not rebooting. hitting the power button to "lock" your device is fully supported by tethered...only rebooting needs redsn0w when you reboot your phone you will have to connect it to your computer and click "just boot" in redsn0w...takes literally 1 minute the semi tether means your phone will boot without a computer but with limited functionality...basically just calls and texts...i do not recommend the semi tether...it has been reported to be a little buggy. untethered means you don't need a computer period after it is jailbroken...you can reboot like normal there are really no risks except for losing time spent working on it...if you need warranty work done on the device you simply restore in itunes before taking it to apple after you successfully jailbreak your device you need to do a google search for "best cydia apps ios5" you will quickly get familiar with all the tweaks available in cydia that will make your ios experience bad@ss...this is very important!!! jailbreaking alone just installs cydia...you have to use cydia to install the tweaks you want to use there is no untethered jailbreak available at this time for ios5(11-22-2011) here are the step by step instructions for tethered http://www.redmondpie.com/jailbreak-ios-5-on-iphone-4-3gs-ipad-and-ipod-touch-with-redsn0w-0.9.9-how-to-gm-tutorial/ the last step is very important...it requires you to click "just boot" in redsn0w

IPod Touch Questions!!!!!!!!?
Description : I really want an Ipod Touch but I have some questions: (The questions are about the latest, iPod Touch. 4th Generation, 8GB). Don't have to answer all questions, but it would be nice if you did! > (Yes, I know this is an opinion question) Would you want the black or white iPod Touch? Why? > What is iCloud? Is it worth downloading? > Is there a way to use an old iTunes Account with all my songs on it? If so, if I use that account, will it automatically load the songs from it onto the iPod Touch, or do I need to plug it into the computer first? > Pros / Cons about the iPod Touch? > Other things to know about the iPod Touch? Thanks in advance.
Answer : > I'd rather get the black ipod touch, the white would show more dirt and scratches, but it doesnt matter what you choose if you put a case over it.. > iCloud stores your music, photos and documents and pushes them to your other devices > You can sign into your old itunes account and download the songs using icloud - go to 'purchased' in itunes and click on 'download previous purchases' and you can download the songs. (this is what I did, Im sorry if this doesnt work for you) > Pros HD video recording retina display has a camera multitasking and folders very thin and lightweight > Cons touch screen gets a lot of scratches expensive 8GB isn't much if you're planning on putting a lot of music and games on it you can only use wifi no expandable memory low battery life
IPod music memory difference?
Description : When I connect my iPod Touch 4th generation into my computer and look at it on iTunes, the audio capacity on it is about 8gb, but the music library in iTunes is only 2.5gb. I do use iTunes Match in order to put my music onto iCloud. Could this be the problem? Thanks for your help!
Answer :
When you refer to iOS OTA(Over The Air) Updates does it include iCloud backups as well?
Description : I'm planning to jailbreak(untethered) my iPod Touch 4th Generation iOS 5.0.1 using redsn0w. Only issue is, once jail-broken,apparently, the OTA (over the air) delta updates no longer take place. That is not a major issue right? But does that also mean that the iCloud backup features etc will stop working once Jailbroken? Does OTA updates include iCloud features? If that is so, i wonder if the jailbreak will be worth it considering i don't intend to buy any tweaks,I just want the free apps and tweaks from Cydia. :(
Answer : Don't worry. OTA means only system and iOS updates. Your iCloud will work just fine. The only problem is that you won't get any updates. However you won't be getting any new features in iCloud if apple does updates them.
