A survey conducted in October, 2007, shows the market dropped at the rate 62.15 from 67.40. Recovering shortly, good trade selling is founded at near 64.00 as well as support near the lows @ 63.15.
The market traded in a very short range covering only 8,000 futures and 10,000 options. The export sales came out at just over 100k, decreasing 25% from the previous record. The shipment export sales showed the same with 256,000 sales.

If the market crosses 65.00, representing the top of the new downside trend channel, the textile industry will make another test of the 50% retracement level in the near future.
US Textile Associations
Cotton Council International (CCI): Cotton Council International is part of National Cotton Council of America promoting export of the organization. The association focuses on the improvement in the efficiency of every level of the marketing chain. This would result in an increase in the exports of U.S. cotton, cottonseed and U.S. manufactured cotton products. The chain comprises the initial mill buyer of cotton fiber or purchaser of U.S. cotton-rich yarns and fabrics on through to the final consumer.
For an increase in the market share of US, the COTTON USA Manufactured Cotton Product Trade Servicing runs a specialized program. This program works through a three way process, which includes information collection of current potential products and establishment and development of potential relation between US exporters and feasible overseas customers.
