2. Stamps:

Americans whose stamp collecting is a hobby spend fifty million dollars a year. According to philatelic authorities, the number of these enthusiasts has increased from 2,000,000 in 1931 to six times that number in 1941. Today’s enthusiasts buy stamps as an investment as well as a hobby.

3. Music:

As music brings relaxation and happiness, it is estimated that 10,000,000 Americans turn to music for a hobby. Those who are interested in music either they simple listen or study some kind of instrumental music.

4. Models:

According to the statistics, the metallic chatter of model railroad trains provides music to the ears of more than 2,250,000 Americans. It is estimated that a model railroader on an average spends nearly $3 a week.

5. Home workshops:

Working with tools and making things with the use of wood and metal has become a common hobby for the Americans.
