Christmas card Holder
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR CHRISTMAS CARD HOLDER:
Acrylic craft paint - 1 primary green 1 evergreen
Clothes pins (The spring kind)
Wooden beads - Red and Green
Craft wire
Christmas Ribbon (wired Ribbon )
Make two separate sets of pins according to the size of your garland. You color the first set with evergreen and the other with primary green. Let the paint dry. When it dries, string a clothes pin onto the wire through the spring in the center of the clothespin. The part from where the clothes are clamped of the clothespin should be towards the outside. Then insert a red or green bead. Continue with the string, clothes pins and beads with alternating colors like evergreen clothespin, red bead, primary green clothespin, green bead, etc. A bead should be between each clothespin. Repeat the sequence according to the required size then bend the wire and twist it. Now attach your Christmas bow at the top. The clothespins can be attached to the greeting card.
Christmas Reindeer Magnet
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR CHRISTMAS REINDEER MAGNET:
Small Dog Biscuit
Hot Glue - under supervision of adults only
Small wiggle eyes
Small Red Pom Pom
Brown Chenille - cut into 2 - 2-3 inch strips
Magnet Strip
Use dog biscuit vertically. Apply the hot glue to the red Pom Pom onto the bottom where the dog biscuit indents for the nose. Apply the hot glue to the wiggle eyes into the middle of the biscuit. Bend this into antlers and apply the hot glue to the top and back of the biscuit. Apply the hot glue to the magnet then stick it to the back. .
Make a Christmas Collection Craft Box
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR CHRISTMAS CRAFT BOX:
Old magazines, Christmas cards, stamps, Shoebox or other sturdy type box with a lid
Elmer's glue
Water
Sponge
Acrylic varnish
Paintbrush
You can cover your box with whatever kinds of pictures you want (from old postage stamps, baseball theme, ballet or wildflowers.
1. Collect the pictures you want to use. You can take it from old magazines, greeting cards, old papers etc. See that you collect them in bulk because you are going to cover the entire box along with the cover that is the lid also. You better use smaller pictures because it can be overlapped easily and it will look beautiful too.
2. Take a newspaper and spread it on your table. Arrange your pictures on top of your box sides and the lid according to your choice.
3. Set the pictures according to your choice. Now dilute the glue by taking it in a small container and add a small quantity of water to it. Apply this glue to the selected pictures with the help of damp sponge or a paintbrush .See that the glue is applied thoroughly to the back side of each picture.
4. Arrange and stick your pictures as close as possible to together, and also see that there is no empty space seen on the box. Overlapping can be done wherever you feel necessary .There should not be any empty space visible.
5. Leave the entire set to dry at least for 10 to 15 minutes. Apply the acrylic varnish over the pictures you stuck. Spray acrylic also can be used. Let the first coating dry, so do not disturb it at least for one hour and then you can apply another coating to it.
